PAUL WHITSON, AIA
With a focus primarily on laboratory and health care design, Paul Whitson is an expert on medical planning and research technology. He has been involved in the design of research and laboratory facilities; offices, pharmacies, medical practice areas, public space, chemotherapy infusion suites and intensive care units. Prestigious institutions such as Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Hospital for Special Surgery, Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Saint Barnabas Health Care System are among his clients.
He is currently the chief medical architect for the Ambulatory Care Pavilion at Jacobi Medical Center, a four-story ambulatory building with 130,000 SF of new construction and 220,000 SF of renovation. Mr. Whitson is also the design architect for projects at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he leads a team responsible for dozens of projects—including the Sidney Kimmel Center for Prostate & Urologic Cancers, and the new Urgent Care Unit.
