daSILVA Architects is designing a comprehensive renovation and upgrade of the radiology facilities at Lenox Hill Hospital. The project, which includes the nuclear medicine, CT, MRI and interventional radiology areas for both inpatient and outpatient services, is undergoing phased construction. The completed space will feature a wide range of advanced imaging technology. Structural reinforcement was required to provide support for new shielding and scanning equipment--PET/CT and Spec/CT's; and MRI's. New lighting and interior finishes create a soothing environment in diagnostic and treatment areas; as well as patient waiting and holding areas; and support staff areas. Multi-media conference rooms, offices and staff lounge areas are included in the new administrative suite for the department.
