Ambulatory Care Pavilion/Major
Modernization, Phase II
Jacobi Medical Center, Bronx, NY
daSILVA Architects' is collaborating with lead architecture firm Pei Cobb Freed & Partners Architects LLP, as health care specialists for the design of a new ambulatory care building at Jacobi Medical Center for DASNY and NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation. The overall project includes consolidation of all ambulatory functions into a new building, and relocation of non-clinical functions in closer proximity to a new inpatient tower. The new ambulatory care building utilizes functional floor layouts, allowing the extension of medical specialties from existing inpatient units into the facility. A new atrium and a vertical core create an outpatient entrance with a public space and dynamic way finding.
