78th Street Townhouse
New York, NY
daSILVA designed a complete renovation of the interior space and resurfacing of the facade of an historic 1890s townhouse on Manhattan's upper east side. Six small apartments and studios were transformed into three new luxury apartments--two two-bedroom units and a one-bedroom floor through. The new facade, which was designed to provide a bridge between the adjacent 19th century townhouses and an apartment house on Park Avenue, required review and approval by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission.
