daSILVA Architects is currently designing an expansion and renovation to the Center for Implant and Reconstructive Dentistry at the University of Connecticut Health Center (UCHC) in Farmington, CT. The 4,200 SF center is being designed as a prototype for a new age of dental implant facilities. It will consist of two surgery suites and seven treatment/reconstructive rooms featuring advanced A-dec dental equipment. The center, which faces an interior courtyard, is being designed to maximize natural daylight provide an upscale contemporary atmosphere. The exam rooms will have angled ceilings facing south and the reception and waiting areas will feature butt jointed glass walls.

The Implant Center will be an integral part of the Health Center’s Musculo-Skeletal Institute and will serve both students and practicing dentists as a training center and support network for the advancement of dental implant studies in Connecticut and the surrounding region.
