This renovation, coordinated by Anton Martinez, upgraded the visual and functional quality of the Stribling Realty offices on the upper east side of Manhattan. The resulting storefront affords greater exposure in the neighborhood and distributes natural light to each floor level. The new design accommodates approximately 100 brokers, a conference room, and equipment rooms for telephone, computer and copying services.
The renovation responds to the style of the neighboring upscale shops on Madison Avenue. The three-floor design remains within the character of the brownstone tradition, while adding light and space by employing an open interior floor plan. The storefront, reception area, and conference room have a stately ambiance, complete with careful detailing in wood, marble, and brass. The storefront retail display, consisting of a gallery of gold leaf picture frames suspended on brass rods encased in a mahogany frame, is credited by the real estate industry as making the store a much-imitated success in the Madison Avenue retail market.
